Kevin had a 20 year career in exploration where he held operational and senior management roles in CRA and then Rio Tinto, including minerals exploration in Australia, China, Russia, Philippines and PNG, as well as oil and gas exploration in Australasia.

Kevin is currently executive director of the Minerals Tertiary Education Council, within the industry’s peak body, the Minerals Council of Australia. He is a director of the Cooperative Research Centre for Landscape Environments and Mineral Exploration and a member of the Minerals Industry Advisory Committee, School of Mining Engineering, University of NSW.

Rick Watsford BSc, MBA, FAusIMM - Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Rick has 35 years of mining industry experience, the majority of which has been in senior management roles in the exploration, mining and production of base metals, industrial metals and gold.

From 1995 until 2005 he held senior roles with WMC's Nickel and Copper-Uranium businesses and more recently was COO of CBH Resources Limited. In addition to his extensive industry experience he brings to the role at Range River a broad range of skills and knowledge to enhance the Range River Board's growth ambitions.

Owen Hegarty - BEc(Hons), FAusIMM, Non executive director

Owen is a Director of OZ Minerals Limited. Owen was the founding Managing Director and CEO of Oxiana for 13 years prior to the recent merger with Zinifex. Oxiana was one of the resources industry’s stand-out success stories and the merged group,OZ Minerals, has now become the third largest diversified mining company in Australia.

Owen has over 35 years direct experience in the global mining industry including 25 years with the Rio Tinto Group, where from 1988 to 1993, he was Managing Director of its copper and gold mining and smelting business unit. He is Deputy Chairman of the Minerals Council of Australia and a Director of Range River Gold Limited and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). In 2006, Owen was awarded the AusIMM Institute Medal for his leadership and achievements in the mining industry.

Malcolm Macpherson BSc, FAusIMM, FTSE, Non executive director

Malcolm has broad mining industry experience and built a successful career as Chief Executive of Iluka Resources Ltd, growing it from a $50 million market value company in 1978 to a $1 billion company in 2001. Malcolm is currently a non-executive director of Minara Resources Limited, Portman Limited and Titanium Corporation Inc. and is Chairman of the CRC for Sustainable Resource Processing. Past directorships include Consolidated Rutile Limited, P.T.

Koba Tin, Eltin Limited and Western Power Corporation as well as representational roles with the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA and the Minerals Council of Australia. Malcolm has a strong interest in research and innovation and has served on CSIRO advisory committees and been involved in higher education for over 25 years.

Ken Barassi FCA, FCPA, FTIA, AFPA, MAICD, Non executive director

Ken is a practising chartered accountant with over 30 years experience in the consultancy spheres of management accounting, taxation and finance.

Advising clients locally and internationally, Ken has acted for several mining and engineering clients, particularly in the areas of finance, capital raising, and risk management.
